Grade thresholds vary by session based on paper difficulty and cohort performance. The threshold also depends on which route you sat — the three routes run materially different boundaries. AS Level is graded A to E only — there is no A* at AS.

Notice MD runs the highest boundary of the three routes — the routes are not interchangeable in difficulty, and neither is exam technique.
