There are no optional topics at AS — the five A-Level options (Astrophysics, Medical Physics, Engineering Physics, Turning Points, Electronics) appear only at full A-Level.

Grade thresholds vary by session based on paper difficulty and cohort performance. AS Level is graded A to E only — there is no A* at AS for Edexcel.
